With October winding down, these are a few things that I have been in love with this month!

  • First snow! This are starting to look more wintery over here in the Raggeds Wilderness of Colorado. We’ve been getting more and more consistent dustings and its making me excited, but also I’m nostalgic for summer. I never feel like I adventure enough during the summer.

  • You Are The Placebo by Dr. Joe Dispenza was the book I read for October. It is a super eye-opening book about the science behind the miraculous healings that have occurred in cancer patients, paralyzed patients, chronically ill and other people with debilitating issues. Dr. Joe Dispenza gives examples backed by scientific studies for an interesting read with a practical how-to guide at the end of the book with meditations to achieve your own results.

  • Cashew Cheese sauce for Mac N Cheeze. I have been experimenting with a few different recipes because my boyfriend is newly plant-based and missed good ole mac n cheese. I haven’t found a favorite recipe yet but when I do, I promise to share!

  • Peloton Runs with coach Becs Gentry. Because of the snow, I have slowly retreated inside when it comes to my training. I have never been a huge fan of runs on the treadmill but using the Peloton app has been a game changer. They have a whole bunch of pre-loaded classes from running to boot camps to spin with a ton of incredible instructors. My favorite is Becs Gentry because of her absolutely peppy British attitude and brutal workouts!

  • Current favorite song: Joshua Tree by Cautious Clay

  • Things I’ve been pondering: I’ve had a lot of financial stress lately and its been making me think about all of the absolutely necessary things that I need in my life and what I can cut out; the non-essentials. I’ve been taking a look at subscriptions, extra clothes I can sell for money, how to reduce my grocery bill, how to not drive as much, how to increase shifts at work. All in all, I’ve come to the conclusion that I can stay afloat for the time-being by being more creative and aware of my spending.
