Plant-Based Grocery List

Eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive. Here is my plant-based grocery list on a budget!

Pantry Items: get as many in bulk as you can and shop around to find some items on sale.

  • Oats

  • Nuts: almonds, cashews, walnuts

  • Plant protein powder

  • Seeds: chia, hemp, flax

  • Beans (canned or dried): black, kidney, garbanzo

  • Legumes (canned or dried)

  • Sweet potatoes

  • Pasta

  • Nut butter

  • Coffee and tea

  • Oils: coconut, avocado, olive

Fruits & Veggies: buy seasonally and on sale

  • Lemon and limes

  • Avocado

  • Celery

  • Beets, carrots, parsnips, and other root vegetables

  • Squash: zucchini, summer squash, acorn, spaghetti

  • Apples

  • Pears

  • Bananas

  • Berries

  • Broccoli or Cauliflower

  • Asparagus

  • Onions and garlic

  • Ginger and Turmeric

  • Leafy greens

  • Fresh herbs

Refrigerated section:

  • Extra firm tofu, tempeh

  • Hummus (if you don’t like making your own)

  • Salad dressing (if you don’t like making your own)

  • Soy Sauce

  • Apple cider vinegar

  • Plant milk

Freezer: I freeze a lot of my smoothie ingredients and bread so they last me longer

  • Bananas

  • Spinach and kale

  • Berries, tropical fruits, acai, pitaya

  • Sprouted bread
